Description: The Passion Fruit is a
tropical and subtropical fruit grown in Brazil. The most important and most cultivated species are: Passiflora Edulis Sims - purple passion
flower, intensively cultivated in Australia - and Passiflora Edulis F. Flavicarpa. Yellow Passion Fruit holds the following
advantages over the purple variety:
Larger amount of juice per unit of fruit, and a more acid juice which
especially helps out in processing.
